Another test from blogger.com
Thought of the day
Just back from a lovely week in Keswick. Who’d want to come home when you’ve got Catbells to wake up to every morning?

Update
September 2006 - I'm a grandad!

It's been a while
But here's my first real entry. I'll start with some ramblings - I see that blogging takes *a lot* of time - something I don't have a lot of at the moment, so constructive and coherent diary-ing may not be the order of the day.
I also want to study some other blogs to see what's good and what's bad. I daresay if anyone reads this, I'll soon find out.
Today's observation : I see Gene Pitney has been found dead in his Cardiff hotel. Another senseless death, I suppose.
I'm not a TV nut... but there are a few programmes that I follow. Stargate SG1 (still going strong), Alias (sadly about to be shelved, along with Charmed), Smallville, 24, and Battlestar Galatica. Smallville this week and last has been traumatic - Clark's father died (I thought they re-wrote that in the comics??) and his coming to terms with it made for some emotional stuff.
I'm not into "serious" TV - the news is enough - but I'm amazed at how well US TV can handle subjects such as death. I tend to remember US programs as still shying away from anything "touchy".

Wednesday 7th April 2005
Well, here we are - my first blog. On a Wednesday, too - what a day to start recording the rubbish that passes through my mind. Still, why not?
